Agios Ioannis beach on the west side of the island and facing Delos. You can get there by BUS from Fabrica at Mykonos Town . Many small family hotels and Luxury  or boutique spa honeymoon Hotels like Apsenti - Boutique Hotel only for couples, and  Budget Accommodations and private rooms studios and apartments for rent are all available for tourists at this Beach. The small beach of Agios Ioannis offers white sands and a collection of small coves catering to the general public. Famous as the location for the award winning motion picture Shirley Valentine, many appreciate this setting for its calm and relaxed atmosphere. Regular bus service from Mykonos town provides easy access throughout the day. Many hotels (five stars hotels and four stars ) like :Sant Jonh hotel , Hotel Manoulas , Apolonia bay Hotel , and Apsenti (for couples only hotel )are all arount this beach .

Agios Ioannis is thought by many to be one of the most picturesque places on the island. It is well known for location shots during the shooting of the movie Shirley Valentine. There is only a tiny strip of sand and stone but the setting in the beautiful bay is dramatic with views across to the island of Delos and a small white chapel to add a picture postcard flourish. Nearby rocks and coves add interest and there is a tiny beach at KAPARI for those who prefer more solitude, but it has no shade and no facilities.
